At the Mass, we take part in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus was sacrificed once. As children of God, each time we go to the Mass, gathered around the altar,  we re-live the same sacrifice of Christ. Therefore there is only one Mass. This is the reason why the Holy Mass is the highest form of prayer.
