Our Lady of Africa (2025)
Throughout history, Mary has appeared as a native of the land, affirming she is the Mother of those people. I created this piece so people of many races—especially African children—can identify with a holy image that looks like them. This affirms that holiness resides in their dignity and celebrates the sacred worth of every culture.
My hope is that this painting reaches as many schools and parishes as possible, so children can see a Mother who reflects their own image. May this artwork serve as a lasting reminder that God’s love encompasses every race and nation.
